A A member of Congress GOP broke into Secretary of State Antony Ben during his hearing before the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, claiming that Congress has failed "need to hear lies ".
Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., who lost both legs while serving in Afghanistan , had a heated exchange with Ben while the time allotted to the member of Congress forr questioning the Secretary of State was drawing to a close.
The mast slammed the administration. processing of the withdrawal, pointing to the controversial Biden appealed with the former Afghan president, leading the Florida Republican to claim that he "doesn't believe a word of it," the secretary said.

"I don't want to hear from the secretary " said Mast. "He lies to us when he comes before us.

Mast also showed Ben the photos of the thirteen servicemen killed in the Kabul suicide bombing while reading their stories. names, ages and citations from their families.
Republicans on the committee blasted Ben in his first of two hearings on the Biden administration 's botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. Several Republicans told Ben he should resign .
Democrats, on the other hand, widely target defended Ben and the Biden administration during the hearing, with many Democrats blaming former President Donald Trump instead.
During the hearing, Ben also said that at the end of last week there were around 100 US citizens blocked in Afghanistan.
In addition, the secretary of state said that "several thousand " permanent residents of the United States also remain in Afghanistan.
