"I unequivocally condemn mass detentions and mock trials which unjustly condemn to prison those who have dared to express oneself in an effort totimid and threatening the Cuban people to shut up, "Biden said in a statement.

" This is just the beginning - the United States will continue to sanction those responsible for the oppression of the Cuban people "said Biden.
The United States is revising its fund transfer policy to "maximize support for the Cuban people," Biden said.
Washington also commits to staffing the United States Embassy in Havana forr provide consular services and engage with civil society "while ensuring the safety of US diplomats stationed in Cuba," Biden added.
