TAIPEI, October 14 (Hfrance.fr) - A fire in a residential building in the Kaohsiung city in southern Taiwan has left 46 dead and 41 injured, the government said Thursday. The fire broke out declared in the 40-year-old building in the Yancheng district of Kaohsiung in the early hours of the morning and was extinguished around dawn. Kaohsiung firefighters said in a statement that afterhaving searched the building, they were able to confirm 46 deaths. Mayor Chen Chi-mai said the building was partly abandoned, having Already hosted restaurants, karaoke lounges and a movie theater.
