As the name suggests, this tool scans the system and identifies drivers with a deadline outdated and replace them with the latest versionss.
It checks with over 100 hardware manufacturers to get the latest official drivers as well as snapshots of the drivers that work on the system in case they need to be reinstalled for any reason .
AVG has a good reputation for creating reliable code, and this utility runs around the clock in the background to keep the computer performing at its best.
However, the main weakness of this offering is that the driver database contains only 127,000 drivers, while most competitors have over 400,000 and some have a million or more.
If the weakness of this product is the database of drivers, this limit is not reflected in the price. At AVG, it costs $ 39.99 per year, which makes it one of the more expensive options.
AVG offers a trial version to download and install that will scan your system and flag drivers that requiretry an update. But the trial version will not update them without purchase.

Be a MacGyver with Driver Reviver
Reasons to buy + Massive driver database + Speaks multiple languages + Free version update drivers
Driver Reviver is a driver maintenance tool by ReviverSoft, since 2014 a subsidiary of Corel. It manufactures a wide range of other Reviver branded software products for PC and Apple Mac, although this one is exclusively for PC.
What it aims to do is keep the drivers on the system concurrent, and prevent the system from accidentally installing drivers that are corrupted or infected with malware. A charactereristic that we liked is that creates a restore point before installing the drivers. Allow the system to be restored more easily, if the new drivers are a problem.
It also has a useful option to scan automatically on Windows startup, allowing drivers to be updated before starting to work on the computer.
ReviverSoft claims that its driver database contains over 10 million files. Although we assume this includes all versions of many drivers, as we don't think there are that many hardware devices for Windows.
Whatever the exact truth, its driver database is very comprehensive. And the same goes for the language support which includes Danish, Dutch, English, French, Finnish, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Chineseis traditional.
You can download and start using Driver Reviver immediately, but the full version costs $ 29.99, or you can get it along with seven other Windows enhancement tools in the TOTAL PC package CARE from ReviverSoft for $ 99.99 per year.
