The president's complainte of the association Femme et libre, Yael Mellul, former lawyer of Krisztina Rady's last companion, found hanged at her home in Bordeaux on January 10, 2010, was dismissed by the Bordeaux public prosecutor's office. Yael Mellul had filed a complaint at the end of May for" violence resulting in death without intention to give it.
According to the prosecutor of the Republic of Bordeaux, Marie-Madeleine Alliot, the investigations carried out by the judicial police of Bordeaux after the complaint of Yael Mellul "did not make it possible to characterize that the suicide (...) was in connection with physical or psychological violence committed on it by Bertrand Cantat.
"Consequently, a decision of classification without follow-up was made on July 4, explains the magistrate in a press release, stressing that" the parquet floor of Bordeaux previously launched three inquiries relating to the search for causes of Krisztina Rady's deaths which have been closed. And these decisions "have not been appealed," said Ms. Alliot. According to the prosecutor, Bertrand Cantat was served with this classification without further action when he was summoned to the Bordeaux police station on Thursday.
New elements, according to M me Mellul
In early June, the public prosecutor confirmed that a new investigation had been opened into the suicide of the singer's ex-wife aged 54 to verify "elements transmitted by M me Mellul. The latter stated that she had been heard by the police on 23 May and, after thishearing, having filed a complaint.
She indicated that she had in her possession messages that she had exchanged on the Internet with "the companion of a former member of Noir Desir going to the same meaning as previous accusations of violence against Bertrand Cantat reported by Le Point, at the end of November 2017. The lawyer for the ex-leader of Noir Desir, M e Antonin Levy, had reacted: "This umpteenth complaint is based on lies and will be dismissed, like all previous ones. Even the family of Krisztina, however first concerned, does not support this relentlessness.
Krisztina Rady, born August 23, 1968, trained interpreter, woman of letters, theater and translator, and Bertrand Cantat had met in 1993, during a festival in Budapest. Married in 1997, the couple separated soon after the birth of their daughter, the singer having met the actress Marie Trintignant. Theyhave had two children and have never divorced.

French rock icon, the singer from Bordeaux, released in 2007 , gradually resumed its public activity from 2010, with an album and a tour with the group Detroit, followed by the release, in December 2017, of its first solo album, Amor Fati.
The promotion of the disc was done against a backdrop of controversy following a cover of the weekly Les Inrocks devoted to the singer in October, in the midst of Weinstein storm. His 2018 tour sparked many hostile reactions, some seeing him as a symbol of violence against womenmy. These pressures resulted in the cancellation of several concerts and participation in festivals, until the 54-year-old singer finally throw in the towel in early June, giving up the last dates planned .
