- Sophos acquires Braintrace . The Thoma Bravo fund, owner of Sophos, has announced the acquisition of Braintrace.tart-up specializes in the analysis of network traffic. It was founded in 2016 and raised $ 10M. Its solution called Dragonfly is able to analyze and identify suspicious network traffic based on patterns. To do this, it uses Dial-Up Networking Packet Capture (RNCAP) technology to gain visibility into the behavior of network traffic, including encrypted streams. As part of the buyout, the amount of which has not been communicated, the Braintrace offer will be integrated into the Sophos portfolio.
