Sadly, Batman continually obeys his no-murder rule, often leaving dangerous criminals alive . And of course, the Joker is no exception to this rule. But a DC Comics episode finally imagines how things might turn out if Batman decides to end the evil clown once and for all. The answer is thus found in Injustice: Gods Among Us. The established scenario makes it possible to better understand the consequences if Superman managed to save Lois and Batman to kill in cold blood his enemy of always.

Thanks to a healthy dose of magical dust and the boundless imagination of Taylor (and his creative team), the storyline so many fans have dreamed of can finally become reality. Well, almost…
Death of the Joker
In this untold story, Superman falls asleep thanks to the power of the famous magic dust and relives his most tragic moments. But in this "dream", Batman has time to alert him. Superman decides to question the Joker, but the Batman sees things quite differently. He promises Superman that the clown will never hurt him again. The Joker then confesses to Batman that he will continue to wreak havoc and wait for Superman's baby to be born in an attempt to kill him again. Faced with these appalling revelations, Batman ends up twisting his neck and killing him.
Superman thanks his ally for breaking his own code of conductin order to save his family. Bruce understood that a simple question of personal ethics was no match for the death of his close friends . And the Joker, despite his intelligence, couldn't imagine for a second that his nemesis would have the guts to kill him in cold blood.
Unfortunately, this is all just a dream. But there's bound to be something joyful about imagining Batman finally killing the Joker after years of uninterrupted battles! So thank you DC for giving us this golden opportunity, even though many would have loved to see The Joker finish in excruciating pain, commensurate with the crimes he committed.
