If you must use the Same style in different parts of your document, Google Docs lets you copy formatting from text, cells or an object with the Paint Format tool. Here's how to copy and paste the formatting into Docs.
Use the paint format in Docs
Launch your browser, go to Google Docs et open a document.
Highlight the text whose format you want to copy, then click the "Paint format " icon in the toolbar.
Once activated, your cursor changes to a paint roller to show you the copied format. Highlight the text to which you want to apply the format and watch the magic happen.
If you have several sections in which you want to paste a format, double-click on the icon "Paint format " to lock it. You can then use the tool several times without clicking again.
You can also use Paint Formater with keyboard shortcuts. To copy a format, press Ctrl + Alt + C (Windows or Chrome OS) or Command + Option + C (Mac). To paste, press Ctrl + Alt +V (Windows or Chrome OS) or Command + Option + V (Mac).
Use the paint format in slides
The Paint Format tool can be used in Google Slides to copy the format of images on multiple slides.
Launch your browser and open a Google Slides . Click the image in the format you want to paste onto the images in other slides, then click the "Paint Format." Icon.
once the tool is activated, and you see the mouse cursor of the paint roller, click on another image so that it receives the identical formatting of the initial image.
As before, if you want to apply this format to several targets without having to click on the initial image first, double-click onthe "Paint format " icon to lock it.
Using the paint format in Sheets
The Paint Format tool in Sheets allows you to copy the formatting applied to text in cells, as you would in Docs. Although you cannot copy a formula to other cell ranges, it is an extremely powerful tool when formatting tables in your worksheets.
Open your browser, then open a Google Sheets . Click on and highlight a formatted cell, then click the "Paint Format.
The mouse cursor changes to a paint roller to display the format is copied. Click on a cell to paste the format.
If you want to apply the same format to multiple cells, Sheets does not support locking the tool by double-clicking it. Instead, click on the cell whose format you want to copy, click on the "Paint format" icon, then click and drag to highlight all cells to which you want to apply the format.
