Windows 10 normally displays a battery icon in the notification area, also known as the system tray, when using a laptop or tablet. This icon indicates the current percentage of the battery. Here's how to recover it if it disappears.
Your battery icon may still be inns the notification area, but "hidden ". To find it, click the up arrow to the left of your notification icons in the taskbar.
If you see the battery icon here (an area that Microsoft calls the "notification area overflow pane "), just drag and drop it into the notification from your taskbar.
If you don't see the battery icon in the hidden icons panel, right-click on your task and select "Taskbar settings. "
You can also go to Settings> Personalization> Taskbar instead.
Scroll through the Parameters window that appearsand click "Enable or disable system icons " in the notification area.
Locate the "Power " icon in the list here and switch it to "On " by clicking on it. It will reappear in your taskbar.
You can also enable or disable other system icons from here, including the clock, volume, volume,e network, input indicator, location, action center, touch keyboard, Windows Ink workspace and touchpad.

If the Power option here is grayed out, Windows 10 thinks you're using a computerdesktop printer without battery. The taskbar power icon will not appear on PCs without a battery.
Even after restoring the battery icon, it will not display an estimate of the remaining battery life when you hover over it with the mouse. Microsoft has disabled this feature, probably because it is generallyinaccurate . You can always re-enable estimation of battery life with a registry hack.
