A the global chip shortage would cause delays in the production of two Apple products , the MacBook and the i Buffer. According to a financial publication Nikkei Asia report , a lack of mounting components for the MacBook and display components for the iPad prompted Apple to postpone some production until the second half of the year.
The report notes that for now, the shortage will not affectnot Apple's ability to have devices available for customers to buy, but that will make the giant's supply chain technology tight.

Apple is well known for handling complex supply chains, but a very prevalent component The shortage has become severe enough to affect even larger companies, including Apple, rival Samsung and much of the automotive industry . Nikkei Asia notes that since the shortage affects the largest companies with the most influence over manufacturers , its effect on small businesses is probably much more drastic.
The shortage would not have affected the production of iPhones.
