Our last VidGrid tutorial is on how to create a Twilio SendGrid subuser that has its own domain authentication - separate from that of its parent account. We have explained how to create a sub -user SendGrid (who shares domain authentication with their parent account) in VidGrid from last week, so click here before you start. And keep reading and watch Anthony from our support team walk you through the process. Video Tranion Subusers are child accountsts available to all Silver level customers and above. Subusers share the same global credit pool, but have their own unique SMTP credentials , settings, statistics, and site login. Here are some important notes before proceeding with the creation of the subuser. The subuser creation process must be completed in one time . If you exit the subuser creation or log out of your account, you will need to start over before the subuser account is terminated. Another important note is that a new sending IP address is required to fully authenticate a domain on behalf of the subuser. This can be provided by our support team. You can reach us by email, chat or phone. Find out how to create a sub-user with authenticationon domain Now that we have gone through all the important notes, let"s go ahead and create a subuser. First steps On the presentation page of your account, you will notice on the right of the screen that you will see Overview view "whole account and below will be the Sub-user management . Once clicked, you will come to this page, Managing sub-users . From there, you can manage new and old sub-users. In this case, we are going to create a new subuser. At the top of the page you"ll notice you"ll see a little man with a New Subuser line next to it, let"s go and click that link. You will now arrive at the user management page, which is step 1 of the other 6 steps you must perform before creating the sub-user. Step 1 On the in pageaccount formations (like your parent account), you will need to fill it out with the most precise information possible when creating the sub-user. In this case, my username is Anthony, but there may be other users on the SendGrid system with a similar username. Once all of the other information is complete, you"ll want to scroll to the bottom of the page. On the left, you will see I accept the Terms of Service. You"ll want to click on it to move forward. Once you"ve clicked and all the information has been filled out, you"ll want to go ahead and go to Step 2 - IP Selection, let"s click the button. Step 2 Now that you have reached step 2, you will now select the IP address you want to use. As you can see, you have the IP address of your parent account and the new IP address provided to you byr our support team. Let"s choose this new IP address. Once selected, go ahead and select Step 3- Quick Setup. Step 3 In Step 3 - Quick Setup, you will notice that other authentication entries have been created in the past. We don"t want to use them for the new authentication entry, we want to create a new one, so you"ll want to make sure it"s highlighted. Step 4 The n ext step is still at step 3 - Quick setup, but they ask for the domain you want to use as well as the URL of the privacy policy. In this case, I have already filled in these boxes and I will move on to the next step. Step 5 Step 5 - DNS validation. As you might notice, it is very similar to the domain authentication process for your parent account. The first step consistse to choose a subdomain name. In this case I am using "testing " because "testing " is a very unique name that I didn "t use with the parent account. Below you will notice that the "test" is applied to all data fields with DNS records that need to be added. Once all these records have been added to your DNS host, you will need to click on Step 6 - Confirm settings. Step 6 When done, you will notice that all of their green marks are checked as the parent account and you will advance to the "place where you would see all of your settings. In this case, you will have: User information Contact details Domain information IP information Please review all of these sections and make sure they are correct. And There you go!
