A TikTok trend that raises eyebrows among users who put garlic cloves in their nostrils in an attempt to clear their sinuses can go wrong on several levels, doctors say.

Videos showing the "hack " to clean a stuffy nose have collected thousands of views and show young people putting a peeled clove of garlic in each nostril. Many videos have TikTok users show the runny nose after the cringe-worthy waterfall. However, that doesn't mean that the edible bulb is a panacea.
