The mother of the popular Texas Social media influencer Alexis Sharkey spoke out following the news that her daughter's husband committed suicide before he could be arrested for allegedly murder the young woman.
Stacey Clarke Robinault said Houston ABC 13 news station she was "super sorry " for the family ofTom Sharkey, who was married to his daughter, Alexis Sharkey (nee Robinault), and turned out to have died last week from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
"It 's such an insane loss that happened with my daughter and then with him. I am just sorry for all of this. It has been a horrible year ", a- she told the news channel. "We would certainly offer our condolences to Tom's family because they are so innocent in all of this.
Houston Police Department (HPD) officials announced earlier this month -Here Tom Sharkey was staying with relatives in Fort Myers, Florida on October 6 when agents from the US Marshals Service attempted to arrest him for the murder of Alexis.

HPD homicide detective Michael Burrow said there was no confrontationation between Sharkey and law enforcement before He shot himself.
Burrow said HPD investigators obtained evidence that led them to believe Thomas Sharkey killed his wife on the night of November 27, amid marital tensions and a history of domestic violence. The 26-year-old's naked body was discovered in the bushes along a Houston off the pavement the next morning. Further investigation determined she had been strangled, officials said at the time.
"The investigation determined that Thomas Sharkey, her husband, was the only person who had the means, the motive and the opportunity to have committed the murder. We were able to eliminate other suspects who have come forward, some of whom have been raised by Mr Sharkey, "Burrow said at a press briefing on Wednesday. "There was also clear evidence that Thomas Sharkey was not telling the truth about some key issues and about the statements he made to the police.

He added that no other person is suspected of being involved in the murder of Alexis Sharkey . And the relatives of Tom Sharkey who had hosted him in their home "did not know he was wanted in the case at the time.
"I want to stress that this has been a series of tragic events for both families, the Robinaults and the Sharkeys, "Burrow said." They went through hell essentially with the public attention of this matter. "
Speaking to ABC 13, Robinault said she " really thought "the case against Tom Sharkey would be over.ally judged, "and that he would come in and plead his case.
