Email marketing is the best way to stay in touch with your readers. And it's much more effective at reaching your audience than just social media.
In this beginner's guide to email marketing, we'll show you how to easily build a mailing list in WordPress.
Since this is a longer article, we've put together a table of contents below to walk through each section.

What is abroadcast list?
A mailing list is a group of people who have requested to receive regular email updates from you. Typically, people access your mailing list by adding their information to an inion form on your site.
Building a mailing list allows you to stay in touch with your readers and customers using email marketing software.
And since email is such a reliable form of communication, you can easily let your readers know about anything that's going on, like new products, sales, or special announcements.
Why is email marketing important?
On our websites, email marketing outperforms social media marketing in the number of clicks.
We have tested this several times and the result is always thesame: emails get us 10 times more clicks than all social networks combined.
But why do emails work so well? The answer is simple: email is private and personal.
If that's not a good enough reason to start building your mailing list, here are some major benefits.
- Audience Guaranteed - When using Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, your updates are bound to go missing due to the very nature of social media algorithms. However, people tend to check their emails a lot more carefully than their social networks.
- Access and ownership - You do not own the content you post on social media. At any time, your account can be suspended and you lose all of your subscribers. Or what if your favorite social media platform goes bankrupt? We are not saying that they dowill, but your mailing list is yours. Second, you are not limited to social platform rules, such as character length or hashtag rules. You set the limits yourself. You can embed email newsletters into your WordPress blog more effectively than integrating social platforms (we'll show you how later in this guide).
- Better targeting - The best part about building your mailing list is that you can use it to target your audience locally (for people in countries, cities, specific states). If you are launching a product in certain countries, email is the best way to reach your followers in that area.
- Increase Revenue - The end result is when you have guaranteed reach, better targeting and the attention of your users then you will definitely increaseyour income.
But aren't emails dead? Haven't you heard that everyone is found on social media?
This is a common statement, but if email usage was really dead, then why do all social media platforms force you to sign up with an email address? ?
Email has been the most reliable form of electronic communication over the past two decades, and it has not slowed down. Plus, building a mailing list is a lot easier than following on social media platforms.
Both Facebook and Instagram limit the reach of your pages to a small percentage of your followers unless you want to pay for ads. Likewise, your tweets only appear for a limited time in a user's thread.
On the other hand, when you send an email, it reaches all of your subscribers and reste in their inbox until they act.
We're not saying you should give up social media. These sites are great for building user engagement, but email will bring you more visitors, conversions, and sales.
Finally, a social media site may disappear or become less popular (remember Myspace?). When they disappear, they will take your followers with them.
On the other hand, email has been around since the dawn of the Internet. And it is still the most popular way to communicate online.

These companies specialize in email delivery, and you need it to make sure your email gets to all your subscribers' inboxes (instead ofto have your email marked as spam).
