Jupyter QtConsole - Getting started In this chapter, let"s see how to get started with QtConsole. This chapter will give you an overview of this software and explain its installation steps. Overview The Qt console is a graphical application similar to the IPython terminal. However, it provides a number of enhancements that are not available in the text-based IPython terminal. Enhanced features are inline figures, multiline editing with syntax highlighting, graphics tips, etc. The Qt console can use any Jupyter kernel, by default being the IPython kernel. Installation Jupyter QtConsole is part of the Jupyter project. The Anaconda distribution already contains a QTconsole application. To install it individually, use the pip command as shown below - pip3 install qtconsole You can alsoNow use the conda command for this - conda install qtconsole You can start the Jupyter console from the Anaconda browser. To start it from the command line you need to use the following command, either from the Windows command prompt or from the Anaconda prompt - jupyter qtonsole You get a terminal similar to the IPython terminal with the first In prompt.
