It is getting stranger and stranger in Las Vegas, as it ishard to imagine a general manager having less control over roster decisions than the head coach. Still, it was like that when Gruden was head coach, which is confusing.
It seems eons ago the Raiders were 3-0, with a signing behind the win over the Ravens in Week 1 on Monday night football. Two back-to-back defeats raised questions, but the events starting with Gruden's emails being revealed to the public created a circus around the franchise.

Davis was also asked to comment publicly on the nature of Gruden's emails, but did not didn 't offer much information.
"I don ' t have a comment. Ask the NFL. They have all the answers " Davis told ESPN.

Mayock and Bisaccia have their hands full, facing an almost impossible task of stabilizing a sinking ship with 12 games to play. Mayock spoke today, addressing the media for the first time since Gruden resigned on Monday evening. Mayock said attention needs to be refocused on the pitch, where Las Vegas has a critical series of games ahead of them.
"As for the team, the result is that we are 3-2. It 's week 6. You know, a lot of those interim head coach contracts over the years, it ' s been week 6. 'It's like week 15 and the guys are already packing "Mayock said. " That 's not the case here. All of our goals are in front of us. 3-2, a game away from AFC. The focus should be on Denver. "
