Google detects 36 security vulnerabilities on Android and deploys April 2021 patch
Each month Google deploys a patch to patch breaches on Android phones and tablets. For April 2021, no less than 36 security vulnerabilities have been identified and sealed. Two flaws are also considered critical.
Updating your devices is always important to protect yourself from flaws that hackers could exploit.
It is nevertheless necessary avoid installing the bogus update application and properly install its update through the settings of our device.
Still in the April Android Security Bulletin2021 , Google mentions having identified no less than 36 security vulnerabilities, including 2 critical. One of them is quite serious when it reads:
Basically, a hacker could grant himself permissions on our phone and thus install malware to steal data.
All of these flaws would affect all devices with Android 8.1, Android 9, Android 10 and Android 11.
How to update your Android device
The security patch is currently being rolled out gradually since April 5, 2021.
The catch is that not all devices receive it at the same time. Indeed, each manufacturer (Samsung, LG, etc.) deploys it at its own pace. Only devices Pixel from Google can have it as soon as it is launched.
This means that you have to check it periodicallyin our settings if it is available on our device.
To check and install the Android update on your phone or tablet, you must:
- Go to the Settings
- Select the tab: System
- Press: System update
- Weigh on: Check for the presence of update
- Install the update if it is offered
