At one point, quite a long time ago now, "Fast & Furious movies "were talking about street racing. They always involve cars moving at breakneck speeds, but only as part of a hit machine that also regularly includes high-stakes spy, level shootouts military, multi-million dollar bank robberies and villainous plans for global annihilation. These days they have more in common with James Bond or "Mission: Impossible " than with "Gone in 60 Seconds ".
As the films got bigger and more spectacular, their set also got bigger and bigger, and with the latest installment, "F9 ", the list famous names make "Game of Thrones " look like "Waiting for Godot ". This is made more complicated by the franchise's tendency to mix characters in and out of the cast without warning or explanation - the actors are frequently written and then rewritten, or killed, then suddenly resurrected. It can be very, very difficult to know who is who and what their deal is.
