MS Project - Plan Duration, Cost and Time
After assigning resources to tasks, you can view cost, duration and required work for the plan to end.
Check the duration of the plan
In the Gantt Chart view → View tab → Split view group → Timeline checkbox.
You will be able to see the start and end dates of the plan.
In the Gantt Chart view, you can also view the project summary task, to note the duration, start and end dates of the plan.
In the following example, Assign Resources is the project summary task (identified as Task 0). Duration = 53 days, start date: 01/05/15 and end date: 03/19/15.
You can activate the project summary task by following these steps -
In the Gantt Chart view → Format tab → Show / Hide → To cochand the summary task of the project.
Check the cost of the plan
Click on the View tab → Data group → Tables → Cost.
The cost of each task is grouped into summary tasks, then finally into a project summary task.
Check Plan 's Work
Click on Report tab → Group Show reports → click on Resources → click on Resources overview
In the resource status table that appears at the bottom, you will get a summary of the first start and end dates of the resource, as well as of the remaining work.
Check project statistics
Click on the Project tab → Properties group → Information on the project → in the new dialog box click on Statistics…
