Resident Evil Village borrows heavily from fan favorite RE4
One of the most striking and memorable parts of Resident Evil Villa's gameplay and setting is how much they remind us of Resident Evil 4, widely regarded as one of the best games in the franchise.
Unlike other franchise entries, there are no zombies, and instead brings Grimm fairy tale creatures. RE8 will re-introduce RE4's Tetris-based inventory management system with herbs green in tow, and a vgun dealer named The Duke will fulfill the role of The Merchant.
You can see more in the latest trailer for the game:
Resident Evil: The Scary Environments of the Village and the village's Baroque castles also recall similar scenes in RE4, though instead of a decrepit Napoleon, players will face off against the towering Lady in White, revealed to be Lady Dimitrescu, and her daughters, who will chase Ethan inside the intriguingly named Dimitrescu Castle.
Capcom says the game will have a plethora of collectibles to find enticing you to venture into the deeper, darker parts of the village, similar to those found in RE2.
