Hundreds more migrants have crossed the Channel as people continue to attempt to cross into the UK.
The Department of the IntErieur said 219 people reached the UK on Wednesday in 11 boats, and 175 arrived in six boats on Thursday.
France announced it was going increase police patrols on its beaches to stem the numbers.
The UK government has said people should seek asylum in the first safe country they reach and not risk their lives making the dangerous journey.
The English Channel is one of the busiest seaways in the world.

Dan O 'Mahoney, Threat C of the Underground C commander, said there was "an unacceptable increase in crossings dangerous small boats across the Channel due to increased illegal migration across Europe ".
He said: "Earlier this week, we signed a strengthened agreement with our French counterparts to increase police patrols on French beaches and improve intelligence sharing. "
He said that joint work with France had already preventedover 7,500 migrants entering the UK.

Mr. O 'Mahoney said the government was continuing to take action to combat migration iillegally through the Borders Bill and sending back those who do not have a legal right to stay in the UK.
A group of migrants seen arriving in Dover on Wednesday raised the numbers total this year to more than 8,461 who made the crossing in 2020.
