Two people were shot dead during a protest in the Lebanese capital Beirut against the judge investigating last year's devastating port explosion.
Several others were injured near the Palace of Justice as supporters of the Hezbollah movements and Amal were demanding the replacement of Judge Tarek Bitar.
It is not known who opened fire or why.

Earlier, a court had dismissed a complaint filed by two of the five politicians Judge Bitar sought to question on suspicion neglect.

The families of Victims of the port blast had condemned the move, causing the investigation to be suspended for the second time in three weeks.
They allege that the country's political leaders are trying to protect themselves , as well as senior officials, under close scrutiny.
