Google Pixel Fold release date and price
Rumors currently suggest that the Pixel Fold will land either end of 2021 or beginning of 2022 . At least, that's what Jon Prosser (a leak with a solid background) has claimed, and he's not the only one, with display analyst Ross Young also claiming that a phone foldable Google will land in the second half of 2021.
Plus, a report claims that Google (among other companies) has purchased foldable phone screens from Samsung Display, and he adds that smartphones using these screens will be launched this year. The same site has more recently says the same thing , and another leak Regarding upcoming phones with Samsung Display screens, the Pixel Fold launched in Q4 2021 - the same window it gave for the Pixel 6.
Finally, the mention of the code name 'Passport ' and the model number GPQ72 were spotted in Android 12 beta code , and they are believed to be attached to the Pixel Fold. the code not only suggests that the phone exists, but that it might arrive before too long.
If a Pixel foldable phone launches in 2021, our best guess at the moment would be next to the Google Pixel 6 , which itself is announced on October 19. A leak has now specifically stated the Fold will land next .
That said, given how little we've heard on Google's foldable phone, then a launch seems a bit soon.
Quant at what it can get expensive, there is no news there, but foldables are still expensive. That said, the Google Pixel 5 is cheaper than most flagship phones. Part of that is because Google chose not to put a cutting edge chipset on it, but it could take a similar approach with the foldable Pixel. Even then, we would expect at least a very high three-digit price or a low four-digit price.
Design and displayichage
The main information about the Google Pixel foldable phone comes from a report which claims that Google ordered about 7.6 inch foldable OLED panels from Samsung Display - a claim we now have heard several times .
This is the same size as the main screen of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, and large enough that the foldable Pixel could have the same form factor as the Galaxy, i.e. a typical screen Phone-sized when closed, but opening like a book to reveal a tablet-sized screen. That said, we can't rule out that it has a clamshell design like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip . Image 1 of 2
