Angry motorists have frightenednty of Isulate Britain activists who blocked traffic on two roads in the latest in a series of protests.
Essex Police arrested 35 people at t two locations, including another junction on the M25 in east London.
Officers arrested 16 people after being called to a slip road at junction 31 for Thurrock, just after 8:25 am BST.
Police then arrested 19 people after reports of a new blockade near Stonehouse Lane, Purfleet.

Some members of the group were repeatedly dragged off the road by drivers putting on their clothes and backpacks, but they returned to their seats and sat down again.
Some heavy truck drivers warned that the protests could cause supply problems in fuel because the tankers could not reach the gas stations.
A pilot said LBC news: " If this protest stays here longer, I'm afraid the night driver will not. be able to deliver fuel to any garage or anyone. "
Essex Police have withdrawn the protesters and said all affected roads have been reopened. The force thanked the public for their "patience and understanding ".
Insulate Britain said around 40 people were at junction 31 and close to the A1090 London Road in Purfleet.

The group of protestation, which regularly blocks highways from September 13 , called for the installation of heat saving measures in social housing by 2025, and all housing by 2030.

Thursday, 35 protesters were arrested after blocking the Old Street roundabout in central London and junction 25 of the M25 at Waltham Cross in Hertfordshire.
On 5 October, the drivers clashed with the demonstrators at the entrance to the Blackwall Tunnel, which runs under the Thames east of the Isle of Dogs, and 38 people were arrested.
