The screenwriter 12 Years has Slavic Oscar winner John Ridley has joined Marvel Comics' creative roster, starting with a story in the upcoming anthology Wolverine: Black, White, and Blood # 3. Ridley will make his Marvel debut at alongside artist Jorge Fornes.
Ridleyand Fornes 'The Wolverine Story will focus on Wolverine ' s history in Japan, as they portray Logan in conflict with his old nemesis Silver Samurai - a rivalry that has recently revived with the current crossover ' X of Swords 'X-Men.

"I don't see any bettertheir way to start my writing relationship with Marvel Comics only by contributing to a truly fantastic Wolverine-centric anthology series, ”says Ridley in his story announcement. "Equally exciting is having the story illustrated by Jorge Fornes. I can't wait to write more stories set in the Marvel Universe, and with their list of icons characters. "
Ridley isn't new to the comics - he's been working hard on the high-profile DC limited series The Other History of the DC Universe, which shows iconic moments from DC history from the perspective of marginalized heroes, which will launch in November.
Ridley will also launch a new Batman story as part of Future event future state of DC ,which will feature an all new Batman whose secret identity has yet to be revealed. DC recently unveiled the early solicitations for their Batman Future State titles, including Ridley 's Future State: The Next Batman with artist Nick Derington.
As with other Ridley Marvel stories, the publisher states that he will be announcing more projects with him "in the near future" - potentially implying that there are will have more information in Marvel's full solicitations in January 2021, coming later this month to Newsarama.
