Marvel's new valkyrie looks more and more like mcu valkyrie in new trailer

Update : like thisHas become standard operating procedure, Marvel Comics has released a trailer for its upcoming limited series King in Black: Return of the Valkyries by Jason Aaron and Torunn Grønbekk featuring artwork by Nina Vakueva.

The series which debuts on January 6 has established Marvel stars Valkyries like Jane Foster, Dani Moonstar, Hildegarde and an all-new Valkyrie with what the publisher calls "a surprising origin" and who bears something of a resemblance to the Marvel Cinematic Universe Valkyrie played by Tessa Thompson, and who, coincidentally or not, also has a White Winged Pegasus and judging by the trailer, that also looks like to a hard drinker.

Lo, a new Valkyrie will debut at Marvel Comics in January.

In the upcoming One-Shot King in Black: Return of the Valkyries, a new, yet-unknown Valkyrie will debut in part of a Marvel Comics 'Valkyries team - Jane Foster, Dani Moonstar and Hildegarde.

"Emerging just as the Knull takeover begins, this new Valkyrie's past holds dark secrets that will change everything you thought you knew about this group of Asgardians and reveal their future in the wonder The Universe Holds. "

The new character Valkryie was designed by Mattia De Iulis.

" When [editor] Wil Moss asked me to create a new design for a Valkyrie , I didn 't believe it! "De Iulis said in the announcement. " I am so excited about this because this is my first experience in this area and I am truly honored to be working on this amazing and powerful character! "

The issue will be written by Valkyrie: Jane Foster writers Jason Aaron and Torunn Grønbekk, and drawn by Nina Vakueva. Phil Noto drew a variant featuring the new Valkyrie, shown here.

If you're wondering where the original Valkyrie (Brunnhilde) is in all of this, she and the rest of the Valkyrior have were killed in The War for the Kingdom event of 2018.

A Valkyrie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe who pays homage to Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie appeared in the 2018 Exiles series but didn 't appear. has not reappeared since.
