Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond receives all-new trailer at gamescom live opening night

Respawn revealed details of Medal 's story of Honor: Above and Beyond in the opening stream for Gamescom tonight. The VR game features an OSS agent fighting in the French resistance, and involves espionage as well as shooting. Watch the trailer below

As you can see in the trailer, there is some real cinematic quality to it. action, from the tense moment your character tries to sneak past the SS to the more traditional WWII shootings. And of course, everything takes place in VR, putting you right in the middle of the action.

The Medal of Honor was discontinued after the Medal of Honor: Warfighter in 2012. Wisely, however, Above and Beyond re-establishes a connection to the heyday of WWII. The game stars Manon, the French protagonist of Medal of Honor: Underground from the 2000s.

Perhaps the most unexpected source of storytelling for Respawn is the ancient weapons. "We've spent years, literally years, tweaking it," said Game director Peter Hirschmann told GamesRadar. "Every weapon is a little different. It develops those personalities, whether you have to shoot the bolt every time or slam a round in the back. For me, one of theGreatest things is that it helps tell the story of M1 Garand, and why it was such an important weapon to the Allies. »

Respawn is famous for Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends , but a lot of its developers worked on Allied Assault at the time. The studio will release Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond before the end of the year on Oculus devices.
