Manhattan's fine dining restaurant, INTERSECT " BY LEXUS NYC will openits seventh restaurant-in-Residence, Compère Lapin of the New Orleans, October 20. its signature blend of Gulf Coast ingredients and Caribbean-inspired flavors for an unprecedented dining experience.
Located in the Old No. 77 Hotel in the Warehouse District of New Orleans, Compère Lapin's beloved Caribbean menu meets New Orleans-inspired menu is a pre-season. taste of home for customers visiting from near and far. At INTERSECT, guests can sample a variety of dishes from Chef Compton, as well as a specially crafted tasting menu, "Taste of Two Creoles, offered exclusively at New York City Restaurant.
Menu highlights include pork belly with tamarind on a green chutney and topped with mango and pickled herbs, Escovitch striped bass on jerk carrots and white carrot butters and Doberge cake served with lemon curd and next to a lemon buttermilk sorbet.
The menu is inspired by traditional Caribbean tales that Chef Compton read as a child in St. Lucia. Drawing on themes of exploration and play, she blends native ingredients and New Orleans' rich heritage with those of its Caribbean roots, creating a culinary journey across the menu. fbs -ad>

The beverage program of Compère Lapin at INTERSECT will complete the experience with cocktails like Andromeda with Pisco, vodka from green chili, lime, grapefruit, rose and garnished with a bitter rabbit stencil of Peychaud and The Macondo with tequila, Sotol Por Siempre, Aperol, carrot and mango. To support Compère Lapin's hometown, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank in New Orleans.
Compère Lapin opened in 2015 and is Chef Nina Compton's first solo restaurant, who received Best Chef: South at the 2018 James Beard Awards.
