Ps5 trophies could unlock psn profile banners and avatars

It looks like the trophies on the PS5 reward you with digital elements for your profile.

Last week we took a great tour of the PS5 's UI , courtesy of Sony's Sid Shuman. Among all the details, two Trophies for Destruction All-Stars may have revealed that you can be rewarded with items to go along with your PSN profile, depending on the trophies unlocked.

For example, you can see a screenshot of the PS5 UI tour video just below. In the Gold Wreckognised for Destruction All-Stars trophy deion, you can see that there is a line on a "Profile Avatar. "

This could mean that some trophies on PS5 games you lock in customizable games for your PSN profile, and this is certainly a plausible theory based on capturing 'screen above.

Elsewhere in the UI video we can see the Bronze Rookie for Destruction All-Stars trophy. Like the Gold Trophy, this also refers to a potential reward in the text below the trophy name, but this time it says "Profile Banner", pointing to another customizable part of your profile.

This is actually not an entirely new feature for PlayStation. Currently you can earner objects such as themes and avatars for your PSN profile. For example, there is a special Bloodborne theme to be earned using the in-game Platinum Trophy. However, it looks like Sony will expand the system, offering more rewards through trophies.
