For many, Rare has just announced its most important Sea of Thieves update: dogs. Woofing, circling, good boys and cuddly girls. It's true - not only can you pet dogs, you can hug them. It may not be the most pirate thing to do, but what kind of ae monster could resist?
You may already have parrots, cats and monkeys as pets, and I can only imagine that dogs have felt terribly left behind until now. Now you can finally add an adorable dog to your crew, probably much to the chagrin of your ship's cat. But watch your step and look for discolored puddles, as pirate dogs are not potty trained. You can check out some in-game dog antics at IGN Introducing Gamescom .
While arguably the most exciting, dogs aren't the only additions in Sea of's September updateThieves. There's also a new permanent trip added for Gold Hoarders, which Rare says we'll hear more from at a later date.
The studio also says it will continue to add new ones. Each month, quality of life improvements and bug fixes, with an emphasis on expanding the "reach and visibility " of live events. "Our goal is to have something unique for players to do throughout the month, and not just look to the next monthly update," said executive producer Joe Neate. Warning, you still have until September 30 to get new loot and titles from the Summer of Sea of Thieves Event .
