While we all wait patiently DC Fandome for our first look at The Suicide Squad, teasers for the sequel / reboot / not-quite-sure-how-it-is -reports- -DCEU has made its way online. And now, thanks to James Gunn, we can get clues about the cast of some of the great actors attached to the project.
To celebrate the anniversary of Gunn, the cast all posted a video of themselves wishing him luck. The first was Margot Robbie, who made an appearance as the character of Harley Quinn. Of course, we already knew that she would be Harley - it's the other appearances that get everyone talking.
David Dastmalchian, best known for his role in Ant-Man , appeared inthe video with colorful dots on his face - which seems to confirm that he will be playing Batman's villain, the Polka Dot Man, as it has long been said.
Then there's John Cena, who uses two arcade guns. "In honor of your birthday, I go through magazines with double fists on Operation Thunderbolt," he says. It's as close as you get confirmation that he's playing Peacemaker, who has two weapons in the comics.
Idris Elba also appears, but in slow motion and with a very, very deep, low voice that sounds a lot like a growl. Fans have long suspected that he will play Bronze Tiger, which it apparently proves. Take a look below.
Either way, we'll be sure to find out more about Fandome later this month as Gunn has already promised an exclusive first look at the film. Do vYou don't expect too much clarification to know if this is a sequel.
