Showrunner Boys Eric Kripke teased the arrival of a new group in season 3. The man behind the Amazon Prime series posted an image of the upcoming premiere to Twitter, with the headline directly referencing a team known as Payback.
Vought's secondary Supe group is a direct parody of Marvel's Avengers and is led by Soldier Boy - with Jensen Ackles already confirmed to appear as the patriotic hero. It looks like the series will get even more extreme as it moves to the The Boys season3 , with Kripke noting "You are not ready for what lies ahead".
Other Payback members have already been seen in The Boys season 2 , with Stormfront being the most notable - though she won't be much use after this explosive finale. Heroes like Tek-Knight and Crimson Countess have already been sneakily named in the first season in the throwaway lines. And in the last batch of episodes, The Deep me is Eagle the Archer, an obvious parody of Hawkeye.
Antony Starr 's Homelander could find himself fighting for the most depraved superhero of the year if Tek-Knight makes it to screen. The particularly bizarre individual has no powers, but dons combat armor clearly referencingto Iron Man and Batman and, in the comics, has uncontrollable sexual urges which are quite problematic. Kripke previously teased Ackles 'Soldier Boy will also have medium streak, revealing that he won don't be the goofy idiot of the comics.
After becoming as crafty as Billy Butcher himself, our investigative digs suggest that the series could arrive in the first months of 2022 . Unless the cast and crew are dosed with Compound-V and production shifts into high gear of course. While waiting for Eric Kripke to reveal more about season 3 of The Boys, check out the best shows on Amazon Prime .
