When the mighty Thor made his debut in Marvel Comics in August 1962, Journey Into Mystery # 83 , he was not simply banished to Earth by his father Odin; he was trapped far from Asgard - until deadly scientist Dr Donald Blake found his mystical hammer Uru Mjolnir (disguisedse in walking stick) and swap places with Thor, allowing the god of thunder to roam freely and save the world.

Now the Donald Blake mystery - how did he find Mjolnir, where did he go when Thor appeared, and maybe, where the heck is- Now, will he find an answer in November Thor # 9 - as just revealed in Marvel Solicitations just released in November 2020 .

"The 'Prey arc begins here! Once upon a time, a mortal man carried the spirit of a god within him," reads this issue's synopsis . "With a crack in his cane on the ground, Mighty Thor would appear! "

Donald Blake has previously been revealed to be a creation of Odin aimed at helping Thor learn the humble ways of mankind - a saga familiar to fans of the Marv Cinematic Universe.el, where Dr. Donald Blake is mentioned as Jane Foster 's ex. Oddly enough, he was last seen as a decapitated pine head after being deceived by the Enchantress.

Thor # 9 goes on sale November 4th.
