Apple ' California " Streaming 'yesterday introduced the world to the "four new iPhone 13 smartphones in the way that only Apple can deliver.
It's curious to watch the launch of 'an iPhone without the vocal excitement generated by a specially invited audience, because it's much easier to spot what isn't being said when the hype train is quieter. Looking at my notes, there were three areas where details were thin on the floor. What didn't Tim Cook and his team tell us about the new iOS smartphones?

Let's start with the new A15 Bionic on-chip system. Thanks to the tight integration between hardware and software, and the limited permutations of iPhones, iPads and chipsets, Apple is rightly applauded for pushing the boundaries with Apple Silicon. So how good is the A15 Bionic?
Apple's statement that theA15 Bionic is the fastest processor of all smartphones; up to 50 percent faster than the main competition. A statement that skips a concrete answer, just like the thirty percent faster GPU, or having the fastest graphics of any smartphone.
We don't know what 'Apple considers the main competitor, we do not know under what circumstances or in what references are used, and up to fifty percent is a fairly wide margin. I can't help but wonder why Apple hasn't made the obvious co-comparison with the A14 Bionic which would demonstrate just how much of a leap forward the A15 Bionic is.

Good news! New iPhones offer “all-day battery life.” I'm trying to think of which iPhone hasn't been pushed as having such endurance. What's odd here is that 'all-day' battery life has been a choice not only by Apple but by countless other smartphone makers. This is a line that tells us very little.
We got a direct comparison between iPhones, with the iPhone Mini 's endurance up 1.5 hours over a year and the standard iPhone up 2.5 hours, but of course a much of it depends on the testing regime used by Apple. A "small print look at the technical specifications n 'is only slightly more informative; "All battery complaints depend on network configuration and many other factors; actual results will vary. "
We still have battery life longer than an undefined benchmark. Maybe our days are getting longer?

Finally, Apple n ' explained neither "the language of cinema " nor how the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max cameras will change it. From a technical point of view you have excellent tools; the focus control derived by calculation, the color profiles which should allow different gradation in the handset and the image processing software from Apple which has probably been increased in capacity since I got OS 14 last year.
But what isDoes this really change? Modification? Cinematography? Lighting decisions? Dutch roll? J-cuts and L-cuts? More advanced machine learning on public tastes? Is Apple 's grand vision to fundamentally change the conventions of literary technique in visual medium?
Or maybe there is a filter that adds highlights and bass to your close-up of boots and shoes crashing on the ground that could put James Cameron out of business?
And a fourth bonus… Monday Apple " has informed the community that large amplitude vibrations could degrade the iPhone 's camera system , citing high horsepower motorcycle engines as an example. Apple showed us the new iPhone 13 on a moped on Tuesday. Now the latter clearly does not have as powerful an engine as the former, so what is thebreakpoint? If a Vespa is cool and a Harley isn't, can I use my Suzuki?

There are times when a manufacturer may take a huge leap forward in capacity and desirability in its hardware. Apple is no exception to this rule. There have been a few years when the new iPhone has clearly taken a giant leap forward - the launch of the iPhone X is a case in point. There are other times when the update involves polishing the edges, making everything slightly better, and letting the combined benefits add up to create a better product than the previous year.
For me, this is where the four iPhone 13 handsets are. There is nothing spectacularly new, there are no headlines, but the iPhone 13 is a great one. improvement over iPhone 12. Even though Apple wraps up the newit family in a blur of platitudes worthy of Hallmark.
Now read what happens next with the MacBook Pro and why you should wait before buying one ...
I have asked Apple the above questions and I will update this message when Apple responds.
