Hundreds of climates of Isulate Britain protesters have been arrested in recent weeks after blocking major roads, including highways.
The group decided to suspend its campaign for 11 days before the United Nations COP26 climate conference in Glasgow.
What is Insulate Britain?
Insulate Britain is a recently launched campaign organization.
He calls for a national program to ensure that houses are insulated to be energy efficient by 2030.
What has Insulate Britain done?
It blocked the main roads around London, including the M1, M4 and M25.
Recently Essex Police arrested a number of supporters of the group after blocking a slip road at junction 31 of the M25 , near Dartford Crossing.
Insulate Britain also targeted key routes in the capital, including the Old Street roundabout , the Blackwall tunnel - where there were angry exchanges with the drivers - and Wandsworth Bridge, where motorists were filmed dragging protesters off the road.

The government has withdrawn court injunctions to try to prevent further actions, and new powers targeting these protests have been announced .
How ambitious are their goals?
Insulate Britain lists two main goals on its website :
- The government should finance the insulation of all social housing in 'here 2025
- A "legally binding national plan " for low-energy, low-carbon refurbishment of all housing in Britain by 2030
Low energy homes consume much less energy and use renewable energies for heating and electricity.
In June, the UK climate change committee has stated that there is had "minimal progress " in recent years on improving building insulation or switching to low-carbon heating.

Why has Insulate Britain stopped demonstrating?
The group said its "civil resistance " would be suspended for 11 days until October 25 before the COP26 climate change conference which begins in Glasgow on October 31.
In a letter to Prime Minister Boris Johnson , Insulate Britain has said it wants to " deeply recognize the disruption "caused by the recent campaign.
Mr. Johnson was asked to use the time to point out that he meant what he said in his recent speech at the UN, when he argued that the world had reached a " turning point for humanity .
He said the world "must show that we are capable of learning and maturing, and finally taking responsibility foronsability of the destruction we inflict, not only on our planet but on ourselves ".
What have critics said about the group?
Many people directly affected by the protests have opposed the group's tactics.
Boris Johnson called Isulate Britain "irresponsible crisp " that "caused massive damage to the economy ".
Green Party co-leader Carla Denyer said while there had a place for direct action , Insulate Britain "not necessarily always do it in the most constructive way ".
Isulate Britain defends its tactics, claiming they are themore on the ccessful route to achieve a mass change.
What's the relationship between Insulate Britain and Extinction Rebellion?
Isulate Britain is a much smaller UK-specific campaign group, though that they share many goals and have used similar tactics.
It is soused by some members of Extinction Rebellion and its allied networks - although the groups are not formally integrated.
