Google likes iOS 14 widgets
While digging through the code of Android 12 DP1, Mishaal Rahman from the XDA-Developers site found an interesting function. Google has implemented an iOS 14-style stacked widget system. Later this year, it should be possible to overlay one widget on top of another in order to save space on its home screen. By scrolling this stacked widget from right to left (from top to bottom at Apple), we can move from one widget to another.
According to other leaks, Android 12 is expected to introduce a new widget manager. Aware of Apple's success in this area, Google has decided to give its home system a boost. The company would also launch new customization options to change its icons or lock screen.
