For context, the last combine, the Mate Xs, costs Princely £ 2,299 (around $ 2,750 / AU $ 4,200).
Design and display
The Huawei Mate X2 is a “book” type foldable phone, which means it 's 'opens from a "standard" smartphone to transform into a tablet-style device. Previous Mate X foldables used a similar design, except they had their screens on the outside - the Mate X2 has it on the inside.
This main screen measures 8.01 inches diagonally, with a resolution of 2480 x 2200 and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The other screen measures 6.45 inches, with a resolution of 2700 x 1160 and the same refresh rate.

It is also tapered like a wedge, so that it gradually thickens. On one end, it's 4.4mm thick and we don't know how thick the other side is.
There are a few advantages to this. Firstly, it allows the camera bump to be thicker without the actual phone getting too big, because when closed the average thickness balances out. Find out what nBy this we mean below. Second, the center of gravity is on one side, so you can more easily hold the phone with one hand, similar to a Amazon Kindle Oasis .

Cameras and battery life
The Huawei Mate X2 has six cameras in total - four in the mainnet and two selfie snappers in a pill-shaped cutout on the outer display.
The four main snappers are a 50MP primary, 10MP periscope (for 10x optical zoom), 12MP telephoto (for 3x optical zoom), and 16MP ultra-wide camera. We have seen most of these cameras in other Huawei phones before so we are confident they will take some great photos.

At the Mate X2 launch event, Huawei made it clear that you can also use the main camera array for selfies by unfolding the phone (so the main snappers are in front of you) - this makes the snappers selfie somewhat redundant though.
The battery capacity of the Huawei Mate X2 is 4500mAh, and the handset has 55W fast charging. However, it doesn't look like wireless power.
The Huawei Mate X2 uses the Kirin 9000 chipset, which is expected to provide super-fast processing speeds, as well as improved battery optimizations for longer battery life. We have seen it prpreviously used in the Huawei Mate 40 Pro , and probably in the P50 as well.

Speaking of 'dual', the phoneIt has two stereo speakers, you should get surround sound effect when you listen to music or watch videos.
The software is Android with Huawei's EMUI on top, but next to the Mate X2's announcement, the announced the deployment of its own HarmonyOS operating system . The Mate X2 is the One of the phones eligible for this upgrade, but it looks like the phone is not installed with this one.
Huawei has announced that most of the few thousand apps in China are Now optimized for foldable phones, making it ideal for productivity and productivity tools. Of course, the best apps in China are not the same as popular apps in the rest of the world, so this might be a problem with the deploymentt wider from the phone.
