Another rumor suggests that the LG Rollable may have been delayed, if not canceled outright.
LG has reportedly told its suppliers, including those providing screens, that the rollable project has been put on hold, according to Yonhap News .
The Rollable was dramatically unveiled at CES 2021, online only, and then confirmed a 2021 release date - but weeks later we learned that the 'device could be canceled . These uneven rumors bring usWe don't wonder if the LG Rollable will be released this year after all.
Which didn't mean the end of LG Rollable news, as we just heard more about it patents that could relate to the next deployment device. The last patent looks a lot like model we saw on the CES 2021 virtual stage, but it could end up being an alternate design.

If the LG Rollable ends up being canceled, that could be the end of LG's efforts to release phones, like us heard last month that the company was considering selling its smartphone business.
If this happens, LG could still be in the smartphone industry, if only to do billboards for iPhones. It would be a sad turn of events given all the work they've apparently done to create a rollable phone. But if so, we still have the TCL Rollable apparently to come, with a Samsung rollable also potentially on the way.
