Nanotechnology or simply "nanotechnology" is the engineering of matter on an atomic, molecular and supramolecular scale. The credit for the propagation of the concept of nanotechnology goes to Richard Feynman, winner of the Nobel Prize.
In his talk, There is a lot of room at the bottom, Richard Feynman described the feasibility of synthesis by direct manipulation of atoms. Further, Richard Feynman wrote that -
"I want to build a billion tiny factories, models of each other, that simultaneously manufacture... The principles of physics, as far as I know, do not speak against the possibility of maneuvering things atom by atom. This is not an attempt to break any laws; it is something, in principle, that can be done ; but in practice it was not done because we are too big. ”
However, in 1974 Norio Taniguchi used the term“ nanotechnology ”for the first time. A nanometer, i.e. nm eis equal to one billionth, or 10-9 meters. Likewise, if we compare, this is a typical carbon-carbon bond length, or the spacing between these atoms in a molecule, which is between 0.12 and 0.15 nm.
