Regarding the official launch of this reboot on HBO Max, we still have no precise date . However, when this series is available there, for all it promises, it is sure to be a hit with fans of the dark side of the DC Universe.
This Constantine reboot promises something interesting
For those who don't know yet, Constantine is the main character of the comic Hellblazer . Appeared for the first fois in 1985, in the 37 th issue of Saga of the Swamp Thing , John Constantine, an expert in black and occult magic, fights the forces of evil by using their own weapons.
For this reboot, unlike the Keanu Reeves film and the series released on NBC, an actor of color will play this master of the occult arts. Also, the story will instead focus on a somewhat younger version of John Constantine. Indeed, to move away from the cinematographic works already available, this future series will turn more towards the horror and gore side .
Currently, Guy Bolton is just creating the of this reboot. When everything is ready, this series will be linked to the HBO Max project, Justice League Dark , behind which is JJ Abrams.
This promising reboot will push this DC character forward
After the movie and the series launched onNBC, this reboot of HBO Max can only propel this rather particular character of DC Comics. However, being just in the draft stage, we don't know when HBO Max will start airing this series. We don't even know yet who will play John Constantine in the end.
In any case, one thing is for sure. When everything is in place, this reboot will be one of the series that will allow us to explore the dark side of the DC Comics universe, on HBO Max. And that will be good for this platform which wants to establish its identity.
