LONDON, October 12 (Hfrance.fr) - Dozens of Hungarian fans clashed with police armed with batons inside Wembley Stadium at the start of their country's World Cup qualifying match against Wembley. 'England on Tuesday in scenes reminiscent of the worst days of football hooliganism.

Metropolitan police said they took action after racist abuse at against a flight attendant.

Hungarian fans booed when England players took the knee before kick-off, visitors standing on their feet and showing the badge of respect on theirjerseys.
At the start of the match, problems arose between the fans and a group of stewards.
A line of police then arrived and some rained batons on the fans, many of whom climbed a barrier and punched and kicked security personnel.
A fan fell to the ground with blood spurting from a head injury, while several police officers were also knocked down as fans attacked them.
Police then retreated out of sight into a tunnel and fans returned to their seats, with a group of helmeted riot police arriving in force.
The incident comes after there were numerous problems at Wembley during the Euro 2020 final, when hundreds of fans have imposed barriers betweenr.
