The stars Met Gala took place on Monday night in New York and while many stars dazzled with sparkling dresses and more breathtaking, transparent outfits , there were several stars who haveused the red carpet to do some policies fashion statements.
The gala, which raises funds for the Museum 's Costume Institute, was pushed from its bunk last year traditional May and this year has turned into a two-part affair. It coincides with the opening of "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion, the premiere of a two-part exhibit at the Met 's Anna Wintour Costume Center.
Democratic Rep. from New York, Carolyn B Maloney attended the red carpet on Monday and made a declaration for women's rights and equality. Her multicolored dress showed her support for the Equal Rights Amendment. also wore a pouch with the words "ERA YES.
Billie Eilish wasstunned by a nude tulle dress which she said had a condition before she wore it. The gorgeous dress, designed by Oscar de la Renta, symbolized the 19-year-old's animal rights activism. She thanked the designer for letting her make a splash in the dress on Instagram, where she also revealed the designer's decision to go fur-free.
