" The Five "reacted to Ahm 's trialaud Arbery in which three men were convicted Wednesday of the felony of murder in the target of Georgia, noting that this was an example of how the justice system worked.
"One thing that is also interesting is that we are celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow as a country, and we give thanks for our nation and our system [of] jury trials . It 's sometimes… slow and it takes a long time - it's been a year and a half. But you know what? It works, "said Dana Perino of the Arbery case.
In addition to the criminal murder, the accused - Travis McMichael, 35; his father, Gregory McMichael, 65; and their neighbor William Bryan, 52, were also convicted of aggravated assaults, forcible confinement and criminal attempt to commit a crime.
The the young McMichael was convicted of "malicious murder", that is, when an accused willfully and unlawfully kills a person.
AHMAUD ARBERY CASE: DEFENSE ACCUSED OF 'RACISM AND BIGOTRIES ' FOR 'TOENNAILS ' COMMENT IN CLOSING ARGUMENTS
The "The Five " panel continued to discuss the glaring differences between the Kyle Rittenhouse trial and the Ahmaud Arbery case. Greg Gutfeld stated that the media and others have a better chance of predicting how a jury will rule in the case if they have followed the faits instead of looking at everything through the lens of race.

TULSI GABBARD: AHMAUD ARBERY VERDICT SHOWS AMERICA IS A RACIST COUNTRY
"So you humans like to group things together, especially when incidents happen in close proximity to each other," Gutfeld said. "To me you have the Rittenhouse case and you have the Arbery murders. They are close to each other. But it shows you that if you chose the right filter, which is the Self Defense filter, you would have easily predicted the results of both cases. "
" If you had used a different filter like race, you wouldn't have it. But if you are using self defense, obviously Rittenhouse, clearly self defense. Arbery, obviously, clearly murder. The prism, the prism of self-defense would have told you how it would have been, "continued Gutfeld.

Arbery was an unarmed 25-year-old black man who was hunted down and then killed as he tried to flee the accused in Satilla Shores, Georgia.
The prosecution considered that Arbery was killed because "he was a black man running down the street. " The defendants claimed they were trying to make a lawful arrest of a citizen, a law which has since been repealed in Georgia , and that Travis McMichael shot Arbery in self-defense.

"The point is you must have more than one filter in life or you are going to be very, very confused. I feel good with this ruling. Justice the system worked… the media [assumed] that… white jurors vote only in a specific way and they banded together in a fanatic, uniform, fanatic way. And we know that's not true and it shows you how different each case is.st nuanced. Avoid these sweeping generalizations, "Gutfeld said.
