Touring car racing is a car racing competition advanced racing. This sport is very popular in many countries like Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden and Norway. However, its speed cannot be compared to that of Formula 1.
The touring car series consists of one or more endurance races with a duration of 3 to 24 hours. Basically the event starts with standard bodywork but racing equipment like engines, suspension, brakes, wheels and tires are allowed.
Touring car races take place on road courses and city circuits. There is a very small technical difference between racing cars and passenger cars. An observer causesl can never tell the difference between the two. Passenger cars come from family cars like sedans, sedans and do not support a high technical level.

The Touring Car Series Championship follows many national and international regulations such as FIA Group 2, theFIA group 1, FIA Super Touring and FIA Super 2000. Previously, the championship was organized by merging different classes on the basis of their engine capacity and racing simultaneously.
The BTC Championship adopted its own set of rules in 2001. In 2009, BTC released the details and specifications of the next generation passenger car which will be introduced in 2011. These regulations have been taken to minimize the costs of designing, building and operating car engines.
The Touring Car Championship is held annually in the UK. Drivers from different countries participate in this championship. Currently there are five championships for each season. Here is the list of countries where the World Touring Car Championship has taken place.
The first championship was held in 1987 at the European Touring Car Championship. The other places where the evevent was organized are -

The World Touring Car Cup was first held between 1993 and 1995. The last world championship took place in 2005. There were 25 drivers who participated in this FIA World Touring Car Championship. The manufacturers of these cars are BMW, Chevrolet, Citroen, Ford, Honda, Lada, SEAT and Volvo.
Touring Car Racing - Types
The Classic Touring Car Championship is home to many sedans racing on the tracks for years. The event takes place according to the age of the cars, i.e. how long the car has been in the game so that everyone can enjoy it as well as participate in the game.

Tips to improve driving

Passenger Car Rules
Here is a set of general preions for passenger cars also known as Group A cars issued by the International Automobile Federation (FIA). Any type of modification is not allowed unless authorized by the regulations specified by the FIA.
Cars homologated after 01.01.99 with the exception of kit variants and in competition in rallies, the width must not exceed 1800 mm.
No part of the car should touch the ground whenthat all the tires on one side are deflated.
Cars must be equipped with a working reverse gearbox.
Suspension parts and wheels made of partially or fully composite materials are prohibited.
Drivers should not exceed 40mph when driving in the pit lane. Drivers who exceed this limit may be penalized or lose their qualifying time.
Testing is unlimited seven days before the start of the first championship meeting.

His next championship was Ford Credit Fiesta Zedec in 1999 and he won that title in 2001. In 2002 he joined the BTC Championship where he joined Team Atomic Kitten and placed 14 th . In the 2003-2004 season he competed in the West Surrey races and won his first race. In 2006 he placed third at the drivers' championships.Until 2015 he won many championships.
Andrew Jordan is a British racing driver who won the BTC Championship in 2013. In 2003 he joined the Ford Rally Academy and won the Winter Junior Rallycross Championship. The following year he also won the BTRDA Junior Rallycross Championship. 2005 was his year as he won four different titles. In 2006 he won the British Rallycross Supercar category.
In 2009 he joined his father 's team and his success includes two podiums. In 2009 he joined Vauxhall Team and took first pole position. In the following seasons he competed in numerous races and won. In 2014 he competed again in Rallycross and finished third. In 2016, he announced that he will join Motobase for the 2016 season.
Matt Neal or Matthew Neal is a runheart of British automobile who won the BTC championship three times. Neal started his career in 1988 and drove Ford Fiesta. He was British Group N champion in 1990 and 1991. Neal made his BTC championship debut via Pyramid Motosport and finished 13th th . In 1992, he joined Team Dynamics and won the Total Cup in 1993. In 1995, he joined Team Dynamics again and won various titles in 1995, 1999 and 2000.
In 2001, he participated in the Championship of 'Europe of passenger cars and finished 14 th . In 2002, he came to the BTC Championship again and placed third. In the 2004 to 2007 season he joined Team Dynamics and competed in the Drivers 'Championship and the Independents' Championship. Jason Plato is a British racer who won the BTC championship attwo times. He also has the record for most BTC Championship wins. In his career he took part in Fo rmula Three and Formula Renault, then he participated in the Renault Spider Championship in 1996 and won the title.
In 2000 he joined Vauxhall and placed fifth. In 2001 he won the BTC Championship in the Vauxhall team. In the 2002-2003 season, he took part in NASCAR races and finished third. He returned to the BTC Championship in 2004 and competed in many races.
Fabrizio Giovanardi is an Italian driver who has won eight touring car titles. In 1986, he won the Italian and world titles in Formula C Karting. In 1987 he took part in the Italian Formula 3 championship and landed a podium. He won two races in the championship and got third place overall.
In 1989 he participated in the Formula internationale 3000 and won the first race but in the general championship he placed 10 th . In 1991 he participated in the Italian Superturismo Championship and achieved five wins in class S2. He has also competed in European, World and British Touring Car Championships and won numerous races.
James Thompson is a British race car driver who won the BTC championship two-way He started his career in 1994 with Peugeot 405. In 1995 he was a member of the Vauxhall team and was the youngest winner. In 1996 he won a race with Vauxhall Vectra.
From 1997 he competed in
Yvan Muller is a French racing driver who has won the World Touring Car Championship four times. In 1992, he won the Formula 2 championship. In 1995, Muller won the French Supertouring Championship.He made his BTC Championship debut in 1998 and became the top driver in 2000, where he raced for Vauxhall.
In 2001 Muller again competed in the BTC Championship and finished second. The following year he again finished second in the same series. In 2006 he moved to WTCC and finished in the second place. In 2007 he got the second position. In 2010 and 2011 he won the World Touring Car Championship.
Alain Menu is a Swiss rider who has won the BTC championship twice. He finished second in the WTCC while driving for Chevrolet between 2005 and 2012. Menu a comstarted his career as a single racer and re-entered the International Formula 3000 Championship in 1991. In 1993, he joined forces with Renault and took part in the BTC Championship.
In this championship, he finished in second position. In 1994 he again competed in the BTC Championship with Renault Laguna but could not achieve much success. However, he got pole position and third place in the race. In 1997, Menu won four races. In 1998, he won three races with the same Renault car. He later competed in many other races in the BTC Championship. Now Menu is a coach for the BMR team.
Laurent Aïello is a French racing driver who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1998, the BTC Championship in 1999 and the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters in 2002. He started his career in 1988 and ended in 2005.
He also participated at the International Formula 3000, the French Supertouring Championship, the Italian Super Tourin g Championship and the Super Tourenwagen Cup.
In 1994 he won the CFS title and in 1997 he won the STW title. At the start of his career, he took part in the French Karting Championship.
