There are two types of routines performed by players -
Mandatory routines - In case of compulsory routines, a player must perform a set of ten prearranged skills in a specific order.
Optional Routines - In case of optional routines, players can perform ten recognized skills.
Players should complete their routine in an upright position with both feet on the trampoline bed. They should stay in this position for at least three seconds before completing their routine. Players must start theirroutine within 60 seconds of reporting to the judges.
Each player is entitled to an outside bounce , that is, a straight upward jump in order to control their height balance before sticking to the ground. The trampoline must come to a complete stop, which means the player must hold the trampoline for three seconds until it stops moving. Players have no time limit to complete their routines.
While playing the game, players have to perform different skills which play a vital role in their final scores. Judges assess scores based on the degree of difficulty of skill sets as well as execution. The higher the difficulty level, the higher the scores.
Depending on their degree of difficulty as well as the technical aspects involved, the skills that are performed on a trampoline are generally divided into three categories.ories -
- Basic skills
- Intermediate skills
- Advanced skills
In the following sections we will discuss these skills in detail.
