Netflix has entered into a new agreement with Sony Pictures Entertainment to stream all studio 's new movies starting with films hit theaters in 2022, which include popular franchises such as Jumanji, the Spider-Man films narratively linked to Marvel blockbusters, and Morbius, a spinoff from that Spider-Man universe, the companies said Thursday. The films will be available for streaming after they finish shooting in theaters and will be available for home viewing, in what is called a paid window.
Spider-Man: No Way Home may be one of the last films to premiere on television via Starz, which currently holds the payment rights single window to Sony movies. Starz will remain the first place on TV to watch all of the Sony movies that hit theaters this year - currently, that includes the third in the trilogy of films starring Tom Holland as a mild-mannered superhero. No Way Home is set to hit theaters on December 17th.

Netflix, which has already made an agreement to stream Sony Pictures Animation movies, will now be the streaming hub for all of Sony Pictures Entertainment's movie labels and genres, the companies said. They also noted that the deal means Netflix will stream several more. movies featuring Marvel characters, including future episodes of Venom and Spiderman; and expected follow-ups for the Jumanji and Bad Boys franchises. "
