An officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has been criminally charged and may be fired after body camera video showed itkicking a man in handcuffs on the head during an arrest, authorities said on Tuesday. The results of an internal investigation led the Marion County District Attorney to indict the Sgt. Eric Huxley with official misconduct and battery with moderate bodily harm in connection with the Sept. 24 arrest of Jermaine Vaughn at the town's Monument Circle, IMPD Lt. Shane Foley told a conference. hurry. Huxley was suspended without pay, and IMPD chief Randal Taylor recommended that Huxley be fired for his actions. An investigation by the Internal Affairs of the IMPD is underway.
