WASHINGTON, September 15 (Hfrance.fr) - US President Joe Biden was scheduled to meet with business leaders and CEOs on Wednesday, while It is pushing companies to demand that workers be vaccinated amid an increase in COVID-19 infections among those who have not yet been vaccinated.
Biden said aow reporters on his return to the White House on Tuesday that he had seen "positive support for terms, overall, " although he conceded that there would still be a small percentage of people who would refuse to be shot.
Biden said he would meet with major employers on Wednesday at the White House to discuss the mandate issue.
Meeting attendees include Walt Disney Co (DIS.N) , Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O) and Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc (WBA.O) , The Wall Street Journal reported .
The President announced policies last week requiring most federal employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and urging large employers to have their employees vaccinated or tested every week .
The new measures would apply to about two-thirds of all American employees, those who work for companies with more than 100 employees.
The fast-spreading Delta variant has sparked a new wave of illness and death, posing an increased risk not only to the country but to a president who s 'is presented by promising to take control of the pandemic.
Some small employers have expressed frustration with the mandate. Large employers like American automakers General Motors Co (GM.N) and Ford Motor Co (FN) and rare earth producer MP Materials Corp (MP.N) stated that they encourage employees to get vaccinated, but they were silent on Biden's decree.
